Satellite Launch by April-end

The ingeniously developed Indian Region Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) 1g satellite will be launched by the end of April, said K Sivan, Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, on Sunday. Speaking to reporters here, Sivan said the IRNSS 1g is the seventh and the final in the series of IRNSS satellites. When the satellite is launched, India will become independent of other navigation systems including the Global Positioning System of the US.
