ISRO working on Chandrayaan 2: Chairman

Chennai: ISRO is working on exciting missions like Chandrayaan 2 and Aditya L1(a project for gazing the sun, said its chairman A S Kiran Kumar.

Addressing students at the 24th convocation of Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute here on Friday, he said, Within this year GSLV mark II and mark III would be planned by the ISRO."

Wishing the graduating students all the best, the ISRO chief said, "India is an young country and such capital should be harnessed to produce better results."

"Knowledge must be utilised to produce clean sources of energy and avoid exploitation of natural resources," he said to students.

He also suggested to the institution to adapt medical simulation approach to train their doctors and paramedical students.

A total of 2,450 degrees were awarded to successful students of various courses including PhD, PG & UG programmes of B Tech, MBBS, BDS, BPT, MDS, M Tech and M Arch. Founder-Chancellor of the institute A C Shanmugam was present on the occasion.
